"Not fast-paced...a chronicle of events..."
Almost Home, an international thriller from bestselling author, Pam Jenoff, connects you with Jordan Weiss and sweeps you from America to England. While not my cup of tea at all, it was interesting to read the spy-type story. Not fast-paced by any means, but more of a chronicle of events starting with an "accident" that happens in Weiss' past while she attendied Cambridge as a graduate student.
I found Weiss to be an interesting heroine. Though reading a first-person account didn't give me the feel for the other characters all that much, I did enjoy the rakish agent Sebastian Hodges. And felt sad for the dying friend, but wasn't vested in the story. It felt too forced and like a slice of time rather than a complete story.
