"...an easy read..."
While there are a few bumps in her language usage, she delicately makes up for it lacing the story with fluid descriptions and sensual tensions. There are a few unique details that were a joy to read. Elise, a character we can all relate to with unrequited love and pains in her life, takes us on a journey through Christmas with her heart still broken from a few months ago.
Her encounter with a stranger Nathan Hall (Nate) pulls her out her past hurts but is it only to gain new ones? There are a few chapters of overt sexual interaction combined with hard sexual language between them. It seems to jump out from the rest of the story which has more of a fairy tale quality to it.
Overall, the story didn't appeal to me, but it was an easy read and if your looking for something to make you feel better over the holidays this short piece might do the trick. If your looking for something thought provoking or literary this isn't the story for you.
