"...I laughed with them, sometimes at them..."
After introducing a supernatural element into their experiments, Peter and Jennifer decided to take a break. Peter believes that his and Jennifer’s sex life has never been better, not realizing that Jennifer still feels that he needs to improve on his skills as a lover. That is until he hears Jennifer on a radio talk show discussing his lack of skills and size. Feeling upset that Jennifer didn’t talk to him herself, he decides to show her how bad a lover he can be.
Jennifer confronts Peter about his attitude he tells her about hearing the talk show and how hurt he is that she didn’t just talk to him about how she felt. After talking it over they decide to experiment again, this time with different sexual positions.
Through emails to their friends Justin and Liz, we see the experiments they try, from phone sex to Peter dressing like a woman to hairy armpits. We also see the hurt feelings and craziness they endure to try to bring more satisfaction to their relationship.
While the Monogamy Chronicles: Part 2 is not what I would call a romance story, I really enjoyed reading it. I laughed with them, sometimes at them, and yes even wondered if I would have the nerve to try some of the things they did.

After an attempt at taking a break from the erotic experiments they were using in hopes of escaping the sexual rut that had engulfed their once vibrant marriage, Peter and Jennifer Smith quickly find themselves back in the bedroom once again. In what started out as an innocent attempt to improve her husband's lovemaking ability, Jennifer finds herself calling into a radio show that dishes out sexual advice to those in need. Despite a valiant attempt to disguise her voice, her husband Peter immediately identifies her when he comes across the show while trying to find a ballgame on the radio. In response to Jennifer questioning his lovemaking ability on nationally syndicated radio Peter becomes the worst and most selfish he can possibly be! From there the experiments resume at a frantic pace.
The Smith's go on to try and start a fight with the idea of finally having great make-up sex. While calling a 900-number for sexual advice, Jennifer befriends the operator and actually performs phone sex herself. In response to a pathetic attempt by Peter to make Jennifer believe he's contemplating a sex change operation, Jennifer leaves clues to make it look as if she's having an affair with her best friend Liz! The Smith's will also experiment with different sexual positions, paraphernalia intended to enhance the male anatomy and a sexual trivia game that will hopefully increase their brainpower as much as it increases their libido.
Rated Very Erotic by the publisher.
