"An Angel in Stone was a superb read..."

An Angel in Stone was exciting right from the get go. With horse chases, guns, beautiful women, and sexy men, who could ask for more? But you get a lot more with this book. An Angel in Stone was a superb read through and through. I loved all the traveling, and even the villain was scary. As I read this book, I sat on my couch, looking over my shoulder to make sure he wasn't sneaking up behind me with his leering eyes and snarling nose!

Raine Ashaway is every little girl’s idol and even this big girl's. Raine is a renowned dinosaur hunter – the dead ones of course. She works with her family’s archaeological firm, Ashaway All, which is one of the best in the world.

The man known as Kincade also has an archaeological firm that bids against Ashaway All for a priceless opal fossil. Raine and Cade end up in a contest to see who can get to the fossil first and lay claim to it.

When Raine and Cade are thrown together the sparks fly. They're so hot for each other I wasn’t sure they were going to make it to the fossil. They argue like an old married couple but make love like newlyweds. And then there's the scary evil man who already knows about the fossil. Szabo’s an evil man who has no qualms about killing anyone who gets in his way. Did I mention scary?

This book is full of fun and mystery. There are scenes where I was asking myself who did it and questioning why. An Angel in Stone was so descriptive I was swatting the mosquitoes away and screaming about the snakes. I could feel the water when Raine was kayaking. I could hear every animal in the jungle. And when the author described the fossil I could have sworn it was shining right there in the book as I held it.

Peggy Nicholson did a wonderful job making the reader feel as if they were part of the story. If you love to read great books that are wonderfully written then this is a book for you!

Book Description for An Angel in Stone

She's equally comfortable in silk and heels or khakis and boots ? but it's Raine Ashaway's sheer nerve and gut instinct that have made her a name in the dinosaur hunting world. Her family's famous archaeological firm, Ashaway All, hasn't hurt, either. Until Raine is thrust into a mysterious contest for a priceless opal fossil and the competition seems as intent on destroying her family name as he does beating her to the bones. Raine's not about to let the sexy, deceptive man known as Kincade win this round. But when the game turns deadly, the two rivals might just have to work together or lose everything, including their lives....

The Bone Hunters Finding fossils in the Ashaway legacy ? danger's just an added bonus.
