Estrella Medrano has lived for years with a bad reputation she did nothing to earn, and she's had to cope with her father's continuing efforts to force her into a loveless marriage simply to get her off his hands. She has refused all the men he has tried to buy for her, and she intends to do the same with the most recent. But Ramón is not nearly as easy to dismiss as her father's previous candidates had been because he touches something in her no one else has delved deep enough to find.
