"This book...will keep you on the edge of your seat..."

Laurel Scanlon a tall, beautiful red head from Washington is about to go on the trip of a lifetime. On the outs with her father, Laurel decides she's going to leave D.C. for the bayou where her mother's family originates. She has no plans and really nothing to look forward to except her night time romance in her dreams. The image of a young handsome man with a Cajun accent lingers in her dreams and makes her feel things she only thought were in other women's fantasies.

Her grandmother has recently passed and left her the sole owner of her family's homeplace, and now her mind is made up to move to the old estate--Mimosa Grove, outside of a small town in Bayou Jean, Louisiana.

Of course, she has to deal with a stubborn father first. He's against her going. Since her mother's death Laurel has had to deal with his rantings about that side of the family being crazy because of supposed visions.

Justin Bouvier, a Cajun with a brain and wonderfully rough around the edges, is a resident of Bayou Jean. Justin also dreams of a woman he's never met, but that he looks forward to running into everyday.

Tragedy strikes when his niece is lost and only one person can help is Laurel. Over the phone, she helps him locate his niece but trouble doesn't start until they see each other the next day. Justin and Laurel are in trouble when strange things start to happen around the old estate and the small town of Bayou Jean. The only person that can help them is a trusted old lady named Marie who can guide Laurel on how to use her gift to its best potential, just as she helped Laurel's grandmother. Marie, Laurel and Justin become involved in cases of murder and kidnapping. Along the way, they find out they're soulmates, but will Laurel live long enough for their dreams to come true? Or is a secret going to take her away from Justin and Bayou Jean?

This book is an awesome read it will keep you on the edge of your seat and wondering what will happen next to this couple...and if they will even make it through. Plus the paranormal content in Mimosa Grove gives an edge to the book and you see a side to soul mates you may not otherwise have thought of.

I really thought this book was great. It was heartwarming and touching, as well as intriguing.

Book Description for Mimosa Grove

In a place as haunting as it is beautiful, anything can happen . . .

Laurel Scanlon has the gift of sight, an ability passed down to the eldest daughter of each generation. It is this gift?or curse, perhaps?that drove her own mother mad and has left Laurel unwilling to trust in love...except in her dreams.

Anxious for a new beginning, she decides to retreat to Mimosa Grove, an old estate outside Bayou Jean, Louisiana. Mimosa Grove belongs to Laurel now, bequeathed by her maternal grandmother. Laurel feels the history and tragedy here, and amidst primeval beauty she senses something...unfinished. Folks here know about her grandmother's gift and treat Laurel with the same reverence?especially when she is able to help the police find a missing girl. It is then that she sees Justin Bouvier?stranger, soul mate, the man who haunts her dreams.

But there is danger here in Mimosa Grove, not from the restless past, but from the deadly present. Laurel must be willing to trust her gift, her love for Justin and, most of all, herself, to stop tragedy and history from repeating themselves.
