"...one heck of a love story."
A warm spring day in the Garden District of Louisiana, in the cottage owned by twin sisters Josie and Kitty Dupre, magic was brewing that no one knew about. Rosie, a cute little white Maltese, would be the matchmaker of all matchmakers. She's harmlessly playing outside when out of no where in bounds a boxer named Zip who rammed into the yard and tore up a precious toy Rosie loved more than anything and broke the little dogs heart. Along with Zip came a giant of a man, Paul Brouillette, the dogs owner.
Josie and Kitty own a surprisingly popular catering service and it had been booming since a recent magazine article. Kitty was going to get married soon and Josie had no prospects in sight and was terrified of being alone. They had run this business since both their parents had died suddenly and Kitty was afraid of getting married and leaving her sister there to run the business for more than one reason. The biggest reason being that Josie could burn water trying to make a cup of tea.
And then Josie meets Paul the day of the incident with the dogs...but poor little Rosie, all she could think about was Zip. Zip and Rosie were in love and their masters hated each other. With these two [Rosie and Zip] all is possible in getting to be together and making a love match that no one would ever expect including those who fall in love without ever knowing it was happening.
Throw in a worried, pushy sister, a sweet little old lady with a problem of her own, a man with a dream, and a mugging and you really have one heck of a love story. One that really does touch your heart. It is a definite keeper book with all the right stuff to melt your heart. I loved this book, maybe because I'm a dog lover or maybe because I'm a real romantic at heart this is a must read book.
