"...an emotional tale of love, hope, and trust…"

Rough Edges is an emotional tale of love, hope, and trust…

Julia Morgan, after suffering a miscarriage and going through a divorce, has fallen into a depression. Her sister, Katie, is worried about her. Hoping to bring her sister out of her current state of despair, Katie shows Julia an ad looking for a nanny to twins. While Julia has all of the qualifications, she’s fairly certain that a pediatrician is the last thing the rancher is expecting.

Dirk Travis is at his wits end. His wife dropped off their three children before disappearing on a European tour. Ranch life he knows about… raising his kids is another matter. Seeking a nanny is his only option, but does the woman have to be so irresistible? She’s met the requirements he stated in his ad, but he feels there is something more to Julia than she lets on.

When events lead up to Dirk being single again, he knows he can’t keep his hands off Julia. The two fall quickly and madly in love, but Julia holds back, knowing that she’s kept a big secret from Dirk. He thinks she’s just a nanny and knows nothing of her medical license. Will it be enough to break them apart? Or will he love her anyway and forgive the omission?

While this is a great love story, Rough Edges is so much more than a romance novel. With intrigue, suspense, and a murder mystery, you’re sure to find yourself lost in the world of the Rocking T Ranch and the small town of Danango, Colorado. Rough Edges is an emotional tale of love, hope, and trust… it will keep you guessing, throwing in unpredictable surprises here and there.

Ms. Hoffman seems to get better and better with each book she writes. Her characters and plots become more and more complex, with stories that draw the reader in from page one. If you haven’t picked up any of her stories, and even if you have, I would highly recommend Rough

Book Description for Rough Edges

When Julia Morgan M.D. miscarries twin girls she divorces her husband believing he is to blame. He forces her out of her position at the hospital and threatens her credibility as a doctor if she attempts to practice medicine. Without mentioning her medical degree, Julia accepts a position as nanny on a Colorado ranch 900 miles away. Dirk Travis is in trouble. His wife has gone missing, and his housekeeper is threatening to quit. He is in desperate need of a reliable person to look after his four-year-old twins. Even though Julia appears to be the answer to his prayers he can't help but think she's a bit too perfect. Both insist their relationship will be business only. While those plans start to go awry, other things begin to happen. People are getting killed and Dirk is the prime suspect, but that doesn't stop the heat index from rising between Dirk and Julia, even as she appears to be the next target.
