"So much more than a ghostly tale of love…"
So much more than a ghostly tale of love…
Kaci Melton, paranormal investigator, arrives at Peyton Cache’s house prepared to remove his pesky ghost. What she isn’t prepared for is the tall, gorgeous man who answers the door. Didn’t anyone ever tell Professor Cache that history teachers are supposed to be old and stodgy? Her assignment, while dreaded before, has suddenly taken a turn for the better.
Petyon Cache doesn’t know what to make of the petite blonde claiming to be a ghost hunter. Once he sees her in sexy shorts and tank top, all he can do is wonder what it would feel like to have her legs wrapped around him. Past experience tells him that those thoughts will only lead to trouble, but Kaci is one temptation he may not be able to avoid.
Edward, the ghost, plays an intricate part in the book; however, it’s mostly about Kaci and Peyton. They each have their issues; trust being the main one. With both the hero and heroine not able to trust each other fully, Ms. Kelley leaves you hanging right up until the end as to whether or not things will work out between these two. Between Kaci’s sarcasm and Edward throwing ectoplasm at people, you’re guaranteed a good laugh. The love scenes steam up the pages and explore a slightly more diverse sexual side than you typically see in most romance novels.
I enjoyed reading My Favorite Phantom. I wouldn’t say that it was a page turner I just couldn’t put down, but it was definitely worth reading. The writing style was easy to follow; the dialog and actions of the characters were believable (well, maybe not the ectoplasm). Overall, I would recommend it to any fans of paranormal romance.
My Favorite Phantom has a dash of suspense and a blossoming love; throw in a mischievous ghost and a loan shark and you have one heck of a tale! It is definitely much more than just a ghostly love story…

Book Description for My Favorite Phantom
When professor Peyton Cache bought a big, gloomy, romantic Victorian house, he should have expected a ghost. He certainly got one, the kind that likes to float his undies around and drop slime in the stairwell for fun. But the professor can't let the rest of the faculty know he's lost his mind, so he hires a ghost hunter on the down-low. But somehow, when he booked a ghost hunter, he didn't think that he was getting a live-in leggy blonde with an attitude like a Jersey gangster and a body like a pinup poster...Kaci Melton needs to hide out for a while, and where better to disappear than a haunted house on one of her dad's ghost-hunting jobs? All she'll have to do is deal with a crabby old professor for a couple of days and kick out one measly ghost. Two problems: the professor is a tasty young guy with piercing blue eyes, six-pack abs, and a penchant for talking dirty. And the ghost scares the panties off her...actually given the professor, maybe that's not a problem. But if she can't tell him the truth — and she can't — how is she going to get him to keep up all that wonderful sex? Especially when she's starting to kinda like him...
