"I really loved this book."

I really loved this book. The writing is excellent.

The story starts with a little background on the main characters--explaining how and why they were involved in the past.

Victoria Hamilton, a young and daring woman who has done everything she could possibly do to make her father love her and failed, is going on vacation and plans to enjoy herself. And she does...with a hot summer fling. A fling that both parties agree will have no strings attached or last names exchanged.

The man in the fling, we later learn, is John "Rocket" Miglionni. And let me tell you he is HOT HOT HOT from head to toe. He's a real ladies man. And he has no idea what this fling is going to lead in the future. Though he isn't sure why at the time, one morning John found that Tory (Victoria) had run away without a trace.

With her heart in hand, Victoria runs away and hopes to never see Rocket again.

Years later, tragedy strikes. Her father has been murdered and her brother is the main suspect. Feeling that there's no other choice, Victoria packs up her life and moves back to Colorado Springs to help her brother.

The lawyer she retains for her brother advises her it would be best if she hired a private investigator to find her brother who disappeared after being accused. The lawyer recommends the Semper Fi Private Detective Agency, and arranges the initial meeting. Just so happens John Miglionni is the owner and lead investigator. When the investigator (Rocket) arrives Tory looses her mind from discovering the man she'd left behind all those years ago is now standing in front of her. She's stunned--and so is he--but there's one person she hasn't expected him to meet...EVER...their daughter, Esme.

Now, not only does Victoria have to deal with her brother's disappearance and her father's murder, she also has to explain a child to Rocket and a father to Esme.

The sex in this book is wonderfully exciting. Sparks fly between these two main characters--everywhere--in the romance department and in other aspects of life. This is a must read for anyone who likes romance as well as some suspense. It has wonderful intimate scenes and breathless pauses to make you wonder who killed her father, and whether or not Tory and Rocket will be able to make it through all their problems.
