F.E. Heaton's Seventh Circle definitely stands up to its promise to be dark, sensual and fast-paced. The exotic forbidden love story sends you on a thrill ride through a world of vampires, demons and a secret, elite society of demon hunters all tied together through one apocalyptic prophecy. In my book, this story is a definite must-read if you like well-written, descriptive, vampire falls for human tales.
Lilith Martin had no idea of her heritage. The life she knew involved hunting those who roamed the earth filled with violence and drinking blood for those who'd raised her, Section Seven. What she did know was that she was different. She had abilities none of the other hunters had. Her powers were similar to that of her prey and that gave her an edge. It gave her an advantage against those she despised most and made her the top hunter in her agency...
Until Lincoln, The Chosen Son of the Vehemens, pays his way into Section Seven in need of some major help. But he doesn't want just anyone, he needs Lilith. His reason for singling her out is simple. A trio of witches has told him she would be the one to save him from the life ending prophecy he's caught up in—a simple little contract between his Lord and the Devil.
But will Lilith put aside her hatred and disgust long enough to see that in order to save the man she's come to love she has to become her worst enemy?
Seventh Circle is a fabulous read. Once you start you'll find yourself sneaking time in when you should be doing other things to read that next scene, then the next chapter. The interaction between the two characters is strong and well defined. Lilith is a fabulous character who goes through emotional torture in order to save the man she loves. And Lincoln, well, let's just say he's every woman's idea of a dark, super sexy vampire. I will most certainly be awaiting the next Vampires Realm novel.
