In Harlequin Romance's Bride for All Season's subseries, The Millionaire's Proposal stands out as a book that will make you feel real emotion. The story is about Ronan O'Keefe, a man who is known for his travel guides, but who is now slowly losing his sight. Ronan shares a plane ride with Kerry Doyle, who is taking a long put off, often dreamed about trip around the world. Ronan is drawn to Kerry and offers a proposal to her that she can't turn away from.
Although I don't usually like travel stories as much as I like other kinds of books, Wylie managed to keep the story grounded in the growing relationship between Kerry and Ronan, and used their travels to give me insight into each of them. I liked how she brought in elements of family and made them integral to the story, but never lost focus on the romance between the two main characters. Kerry has an interesting and lovely view of personal strength that plays out toward the end which gives this romance something special.
Wylie also does a spectacular job of bringing to life the vivid emotions of Ronan's loss. Kerry is a memorable heroine, but Ronan definitely steals the book. If you're in the mood to shed a few tears after a light and quick read, then this book might be just what you're looking for.
