"...an AWESOME book...well worth the wait..."
Acheron had lived a lifetime of Hell in Didymos until his untimely death at the hands of a the God Apollo. Unfortunately for Ash it was not meant to be his fate to die that time, just like all the other times he had prayed for the safety of death, it would not be his. He was cursed and he didn't even know why. But what he did know was that his destiny was not to die then. He was to have a rebirth of sorts. He was brought back by the Goddess Artemis not only to save the world, but so he could continue to be her play toy—or slave as he looked at it.
Acheron, the leader so to speak of the Dark-Hunters, felt that he was destined to be alone for all of his days until he went to debunk a professor trying to prove she had found Atlantis, the one thing he could not allow.
Soteria Kafieri is a professor and archaeologist that's trying to restore her family name after her father and uncle lost their lives trying to prove the existence of Atlantis.
When these two are thrown together, because she needs someone to translate and he's the only one that can read some journals that were found, the sparks fly. Ash learns that you have to try to trust someone again and Tory finally finds someone she can call her own.
This is an AWESOME book it was well worth the wait for it to be released. There is so much hurt in the beginning, you really don't see how any one person could go through so much torture and heartbreak. Your heart breaks for Ash and his mother and sister. When you read all the abuse that he goes through without anyone to turn to you really weep. Then, when you realize this is the hard-ass in Dark-Hunter books that controls the outcomes and carries the punishment for the release of their souls, it is soul wrenching just to think he feels he has no one and is completely alone in his life. Tory makes an entrance in to his life and makes him feel things he's not felt in thousands of years and you really pray that she isn't going to hurt him. The emotions in this book are topsy turvy, one minute you're smiling or laughing, and then the next your crying. This should be on everyone's bookshelves that love a romance but also love sci-fi and para-normal...and heat. I give this book a 4 out of 4, and it deserves every star.
