Through the Sheriff’s Eyes, book two in Janice Kay Johnson’s series about twins coping with the intricate feelings each have about being alike, is an awesome, empowering read. Faith and Ben have a rocky, emotional ride to get to their happy-ever-after but it’s one that only makes them stronger and very memorable!
Faith Russell has endured heartbreak in the form of an abusive husband, a twin sister who doesn’t want to be around her because she hates being reminded that she isn’t unique, and a failing family farm…but at least she can do something about the latter one. She sets a determined course to turn the working farm into more of a retail tourist attraction. She spends every second working on something, including avoiding her attraction to the hunky sheriff!
The very sexy, Sheriff Ben Wheeler comes to the twin’s aid when Faith’s despicable ex doesn’t take well to the fact that she won’t forgive and come back to him…and begins terrorizing her. He’s determined to find and make sure the man is prosecuted before he hurts Faith. Because from the second he set eyes on her, he had an overwhelming urge to love, cherish and protect her!
