The Breakdown of a Breakup could certainly become the guide for all women (and maybe some men!) to follow during an emotional breakup. No more wallowing in self pity with slow, sad, “longing” songs, no more allowing someone else’s betrayals to become a game of what if I had done this or that…with this music you will be inspired to take control of the situation and move on!
After listening to the 11 song cd, I can honestly say I’ve never heard anyone release songs quite like Terry Radigan. Penned after the breakup of her twenty year marriage/relationship, the songs are vibrant with imaginative detail and very emotional. They range from the ultimate betrayal to the moving on with your life stage, including all the love/hate feelings and situations in between.
So if you’re unsure whether or not there is life after a long-term relationship or maybe you need something to help you figure out how to express what led your heroine to feel and act like she does, you’ll love listening to her songs. Released today oddly enough, you can buy your copy of The Breakdown of a Breakup at Amazon now!
Special Note: some of the songs are a bit explicit (cursing mainly – nothing too bad!). But still, this is not a cd for children or teens to listen to so be sure they aren’t within earshot!
About the Musician
Singer/songwriter Terry Radigan grew up in Brooklyn, NY. After leaving the NYC based recording group, Grace Pool, (where she replaced Shawn Colvin) Radigan debuted her first solo record, Radigan, which was released under Vanguard Records in 2000. Since then, Radigan has had her songs recorded by powerhouses Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Pam Tillis, Patty Loveless, Anuna, City High, Vinyl Pinups and many more.
In addition, Radigan’s artistry has earned her the opportunity for placement in many major motion pictures and TV shows, including the feature film “Bedazzled” starring Brendan Fraser and Elizabeth Hurley, the Paul Haggis produced TV series for NBC, "The Black Donnellys” and “Extra Virgin” starring Debi Mazar on The Cooking Channel.
In 2012, Radigan will release her latest album, The Breakdown of a Breakup. Slated to be released on the most love-centric day of the year, Valentine’s Day, the album is a candid story of the breakup of a twenty year relationship; sorrow, anger, wilderness, and the final phase of empowerment and moving on. This collection of songs is a lush and eclectic mix of pop, rock, country, and alternative, propelled by Radigan’s rich, soothing and sometimes raspy voice, magnetic guitar-driven melodies and on some tracks, blaring horns and swinging strings.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m so glad the “no whining – no victim” message came across loud & clear. I wanted the music to be a bit of a road trip for me and anyone who cared to ride along. The road would be fairly rough at times but we’d end up at a lovely scenic view being non the worse for wear for our travels.
Thank you again for sharing the music.
All the best
