Carolynn Carey always dreamed of becoming a fiction writer, a dream that stayed a bit out of reach until she decided to become serious about learning the craft. Joining the Romance Writers of America© and then the Smoky Mountain Romance Writers provided the encouragement and assistance she needed. Carolynn sold her first novel to Avalon Books. A Summer Sentence won first place in the More Than Magic contest and received a Reviewers' Choice Award for 2005. Her second book for Avalon, Falling for Dallas, received the same awards for 2006. In 2007, she changed course a bit and had her first historical romance released by Cerridwen Press. Compromising Situations received four stars (out of five) from Romantic Times along with a number of very favorable reviews.
