According to new guidelines set forth by the FCC, it should be assumed that any book reviewed on this site is done so because the author or publisher (or someone associated with them) has sent it to us for review. They do not require us to like the book, the opinions stated in the reviews are those of the respective reviewer. And we do not receive money for favorable reviews. You might note that we have more favorable reviews on the site than not, but that's generally because we are very selective of what we take. We know what our reviewers like and tend to steer those books to that reviewer. We don't do it because we are being compensated by the publisher or whoever sent the book. And there are many books that have been published or checked out from the library that are reviewed here. But to comply with the regulation...there you go. Be aware that some books are provided to us free of charge.
