Sylvia Day hasn't been writing all that long. Just over two years ago, she began on her course to pen her first romance novel, and from then on, her dream career has taken a path straight toward success.

Magic Fingers...

It was only about a year ago that she signed her first contract, but since then, she's published multiple books for multiple publishers. From Magic Fingers, a short story in a Wicked Words Black Lace anthology, to her latest single author Bad Boys anthology from Kensington Brava, Sylvia writes erotic romance stories that have been called "thrilling", "fresh", "imaginative", and "stimulating" by reviewers.

Sylvia writes books set in many subgenres of romance--futuristic, contemporary, and historical. She has something to offer readers in each of these.

But Sylvia is a dedicated romance writer, who said in our interview, "Romance is it for me. I love it. It's all I read, all I enjoy. I've no plans to write anything that isn't romance."

As to why she's so partial to writing erotic romance, Sylvia says, "In my stories, the pivotal turning points of the romance happen during the unguarded intimacy of lovemaking."

Sylvia is the current President (and co-founder) of Passionate Ink, the erotic romance special interest chapter of the Romance Writers of America.

Sylvia's Books

Bad Boys Ahoy! is her latest release, coming this month (February 2006) from Kensington Brava. It's a historical anthology containing three different but connected stories about three very "Bad Boys" and the women who fire their blood--and steal their hearts.

Sylvia credits her Readers Choice win in the Lori Foster / Kensington Brava novella contest with Stolen Pleasures for the publication of Bad Boys Ahoy! She was "...beyond thrilled." Although she wasn't sure what might come of the win, she knew that some previous finalists had gotten contracts from Kensington. She "just hoped the editor would read it and find something worth pursuing." The result was her Bad Boys Ahoy! anthology.

In January, Sylvia sold A Familiar Kind of Magic, a contemporary paranormal erotic novella, to Avon. She's also just contracted three more historical single title novels for Brava. Ask for It is her upcoming historical Brava due out in stores in August 2006.

If you like variety but want it hot no matter where or when in time you find yourself, Sylvia Day's books are a sure bet.
