Shelley Munro, author of The Shadow, a June 2006 release from Medallion Press, writes across genres. When she needs a change from her favorite of paranormal, she writes contemporary or historical romances, and her light, comedic voice brings fun to each of her books.
Shelley lives in Auckland, New Zealand. She says she and her husband are "typical New Zealanders," but they've been known to spend lots of their time traveling the world.
A Variety of Romance...
Shelley Munro writes paranormal romance, and contemporary--and historical. Her ability to tell a tale isn't limited by where in the universe her story happens, nor by when. She's always enjoyed reading a great variety of styles of books, so it wasn't a surprise when she started writing her own books that she chose to write in a variety of genres. However, the one thing that hasn't changed is her love of romance. Although some of her books are paranormal, some contemporary, and even a few historical, they all share the premise of a love story. In an interview with Once Upon a Romance, Shelley commented, "I'm...a romance writer because I adore happy endings."
Shelley's books
The Shadow is Shelley's latest book, to be released this month (June 2006). In it Kate Fawkner is a cat burglar in training who's falling in love with a cop. It follows on the heels of her other contemporary novels, Lane's Love Child, Follow that Dream, and Live the Moment.
In The Second Seduction, a historical romance novel, Shelley gives her novel a paranormal twist with a heroine who has the gift of second-sight.
Shelley has two current releases from Ellora's Cave, a short paranormal in No Holes Barred titled "Stranded", and a romantica titled Romantic Interlude, a continuation of her popular Talking Dog series.
An ever-adventuresome author, Shelley has a same gender romance coming later this year from Ellora's Cave.
